15 Homeschool Supplies Worth Every Dollar (2026 Edition)
When we decided to homeschool this year, I quickly realized something: you don’t need to buy every homeschool gadget you see online.

Some supplies end up collecting dust, while others become part of your daily routine.
If you’re using Florida’s PEP Scholarship—or simply trying to homeschool on a budget—this list includes the supplies I believe are truly worth the investment. These are practical, everyday items that help make learning easier, keep our homeschool organized, and actually get used.
1. Laminator
Why I love it
If I could only recommend one homeschool tool, this would probably be it.
Morning routine charts, math games, chore charts, handwriting pages, flashcards—you can reuse them all year instead of printing them over and over again.
PEP Friendly?
✅ Yes
Instead of wasting worksheets, we practice spelling words, math problems, and handwriting directly on the whiteboard.
Kids usually enjoy writing on a whiteboard much more than another worksheet.
Homeschool families print…
Worksheets
Lesson plans
Maps
Crafts
Certificates
Reading pages
A reliable printer saves so much frustration.
4. Book Basket
One simple basket keeps all of our current read-aloud books together.
Instead of searching around the house, everything is ready to grab.
