The Best Splash Pads Around Orlando (2026 Mom-Approved Guide)

If your kids are anything like mine, they’ve been asking to play outside all summer—but let’s be honest, Florida heat doesn’t play around. Between the high temperatures and those afternoon thunderstorms, finding fun ways to stay cool can feel like a challenge.

That’s exactly why splash pads have become one of our favorite summer outings. They’re affordable, easy to enjoy with little ones, and many are located next to playgrounds, walking trails, or picnic areas, making it easy to turn a quick outing into a full family adventure.

Whether you’re planning a homeschool meet-up, looking for a free morning activity, or just trying to get everyone out of the house, these are some of our favorite splash pads around Orlando.

One of the largest and most popular splash pads in the area, this park offers plenty of room for kids to run through fountains and water features.

Why we love it:

  • Large splash area

  • Modern playground nearby

  • Walking paths

  • Covered picnic tables

  • Restrooms available

Best For: Ages 2–12

Cost: Free

💛 Mama’s Tip

This is one of those parks where your kids can easily spend two or three hours. I always recommend arriving early before the concrete gets too hot and before larger crowds arrive.

Capehart Park is one of Orlando’s newer parks and has become a favorite for families looking for a clean, modern place to cool off. The splash pad is right next to an impressive playground, making it easy to switch between water play and climbing without having to drive somewhere else.

Why we love it:

  • Modern splash pad

  • Large, updated playground

  • Clean restrooms

  • Covered picnic areas

  • Plenty of seating for parents

  • Open green space for running around

Best For: Toddlers through elementary-aged kids

Cost: Free

💛 Mama’s Tip

This is one of those parks that’s easy to spend half a day at. I love that everything feels newer and well-maintained, and having the playground right next to the splash pad means the fun doesn’t have to stop once everyone dries off. If you’re planning a playdate, this is definitely one I’d recommend.

If you’re looking for a slower-paced outing, this one is perfect.

After playing in the water you can walk around the park, grab lunch nearby, or enjoy one of the community events that happen throughout the year.

Best For: Toddlers and preschoolers

Cost: Free

💛 Mama’s Tip

I love pairing this one with a library visit or lunch afterward. It makes for an easy, low-stress day without spending much money.

This splash pad is well-maintained and offers plenty of seating for parents.

Features include:

  • Splash area

  • Large playground

  • Sports fields

  • Shaded seating

  • Restrooms

Cost: Free

💛 Mama’s Tip

Don’t forget a change of clothes! We always think we’ll head home afterward… and somehow the kids end up on the playground completely soaked.

Winter Garden is always worth the drive.

The splash pad is clean, family-friendly, and close to downtown shops and restaurants.

It’s perfect for making a full day out of your trip.

💛 Mama’s Tip

If you’re already heading this way, plan to explore downtown after everyone dries off. There are plenty of family-friendly places to grab a treat.

Before You Go

A few things I’ve learned that make splash pad days much smoother:

✔ Arrive before 10:30 a.m.

✔ Pack lunch if the park allows it.

✔ Bring more towels than you think you’ll need.

✔ Check each park’s website before leaving since splash pad hours can change due to maintenance or weather.

✔ Keep sandals on nearby because the pavement gets hot quickly.

💛 Mama’s Thoughts

One thing I’ve learned since becoming a mom is that kids don’t remember how much money you spent—they remember the fun.

Some of our best summer memories have come from simple mornings at a splash pad with packed sandwiches, frozen juice boxes, and a few hours of laughter before the afternoon storms rolled in.

If you’ve been feeling like you need to spend a lot to keep your kids entertained this summer, let this be your reminder that you really don’t. Sometimes the simplest outings become the ones they talk about the most.
