If you’re like me, you’ve Googled “things to do in Orlando with kids” more times than you’d like to admit—and half the stuff is either super touristy or overpriced. So I pulled together our "real" family favorites—the local, low-key, and memory-making kind of places.

The Crayola Experience

Yes, it’s in the mall—but trust me, it’s worth the hype. Creative stations for all ages, and you’ll leave with art *and* tired kids.

Leu Gardens (Story Time & Nature Trails)

It’s beautiful, peaceful, and surprisingly kid-welcoming. Bonus: They often host FREE story time events for little ones.

Orlando Science Center

Hands-on, engaging, and worth the membership. The KidsTown area is a homeschooler’s dream.

Downey Park

Splash pad, lake views, a great playground, and picnic space. A solid go-to for outdoor learning or lazy afternoons.

Bookstore + Coffee Combo: BrightLight Books or Austin’s Coffee

Because sometimes "we" need a break while the kids color or flip through picture books.

Final Thoughts

You don’t have to fight I-Drive crowds or spend Disney dollars to give your kids an amazing experience. Orlando’s full of hidden adventures—you just need to know where to look.
