What’s in My Amazon Cart This Month (Homeschool Edition)

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but yes—buy the extra pack of dry-erase markers. If your Amazon cart looks like a mashup of homeschool supplies, toddler snacks, random cleaning gadgets, and that one candle you keep adding and removing... you’re not alone.
This month, I’m sharing exactly what’s in my cart—and what’s already landed on our doorstep—and how each item is making homeschool life just a little smoother for our family. With a nearly six-year-old who’s full of questions and an 8-month-old who’s full of energy, I need tools that save me time, reduce clutter, and (honestly) help me feel a little more together than I am most days.

We use this for everything: homeschool topics, field trips, appointments, chore assignments, and visual reminders for my 5-year-old who loves knowing what’s next. It’s easy to update, colorful enough to grab attention, and mounted at eye-level in our homeschool corner.
These stacking trays have been a game changer. I assign each subject or child a color: red for math, blue for reading, green for art, yellow for “miscellaneous.” It helps me prep materials for the week and keeps everything from ending up in one massive pile on the table.
If you know, you know. I laminate everything—sight word flashcards, handwriting practice sheets, matching games. Why? Because if the baby spills a bottle on it or the preschooler smears peanut butter, it’s still usable. I usually buy packs of 100 at a time and never regret it.
We take these on nature walks, backyard adventures, and even to the grocery store (yes, really). My son loves drawing what he sees, and it’s a low-pressure way to practice observation, handwriting, and storytelling. Bonus: they’re under $15 and make great gifts too.
Hear me out—sometimes the only thing that makes a lesson exciting is the tool you use. My son *lives* for the “blueberry marker” and will happily do twice as many writing prompts if he gets to use a smelly marker. Win-win.
I got one of these so we could homeschool from the couch, the patio, or even the car during errands. It’s sturdy, comfy, and helps us stay flexible without losing focus. If you’ve got kids who like changing scenery, this is a must.
I use this to hold sensory bin supplies, craft kits, paintbrushes, flashcards—basically anything lightweight that I want off the floor and easy to find. It hangs in our closet and has saved my sanity during cleanup more than once.
👩👧👦 Visual Schedule Cards
We’re big on routines but not so big on strict clocks. Visual schedule cards help both my kids understand what’s coming next without constant reminders. I stick them on a magnetic whiteboard and rotate daily.
This was a birthday gift to myself. Three tiers, rolling, holds books, art supplies, and even snack bins for the toddler. I wheel it into our homeschool zone each morning and back to the corner when we’re done. Clutter? Managed.
🌿 Something Just for Me
This month, it’s a fresh-lien scented candle and a soft, oversized throw blanket. Because when the house is quiet and I finally get a moment to breathe, I love to wrap myself in warmth, light that candle, and feel like I’ve just entered my own cozy chapter of The Hunting Wives.
Mama Moment 💌
Homeschooling doesn’t have to mean chaos—or color-coded perfection. It’s about building a rhythm that works for your home and your heart.
So yes, buy the dry-erase markers. Light the candle. Get the trays. And don’t feel bad about clicking “Buy Now” on things that genuinely support your sanity. That cart? It’s not just stuff—it’s a reflection of the care you’re putting into your family’s day.
